Sports Injury Rehab - Whether you are a competitive athlete or a weekend warrior we know sports injuries can happen to anyone at any time, and understand that they can turn your life upside down.  Regardless of what sport you play, we can help any athlete get back on their feet through a personalized strengthening and exercise program.  With respect to your injury, each program will work on building strength, flexibility, and increasing endurance.
Using our Biodex system, we test strength of the injured areas through different speeds and applied force.  This test is used to examine how much exertion a pecific muscle group can handle.
Astym is a soft tissue treatment that is used by our therapists to break up scar tissue in an injury site and improve your range of motion in that area.

Surgical Rehabilitation -

Pre-Op: Pre-surgical therapy can help get you in the best possible condition for surgery and even shorten your recovery time.  By training and preparing your body of the exercisxes you will need post-surgery, you can make that exercise more effective and efficient.

Post-Op: Post-Operative physical therapy is the first step to ensuring a successful recovery.  Physical therapy promotes healing by minimizing scar tissue at the surgical site, and helping you regain mobility.  Without therapy you may experience loss of range of motion, decreased mobility, and improper healing which can lead to even more surgery.

Work/Auto Related Injury -  On the job injuries can happen to all of us.  We work closely with you and your employer to recognize the demands of your job and get you back to work.  Your program will be focused on musculoskeletal and cardiovascular conditioning while incorporating work/job specific physical activities.  You will also be educated in functional body mechanics, symptom management and injury prevention techniques.

Balance & Gait Training -

Balance - Many differnet injuries and conditions can affect a person's balance.  We provide extensive assessments to determine the cause(s) of decreased balance and increased risk of falling.  Posture, balance, strength, coordination and function are all addressed.  Our physical therapist then develops a customized balance retraining, conditioning and educational program.

Gait - Gait training is typically prescribed to help you recover from illness or injury that has affected your ability to walk or even stand.  Our therapists will assist in strengthening your muscles, improving posture, building endurance, and retraining your legs for repetive motion.

Spinal & Lumbar Stabilization - A complex arrangement of bones, joints, and muscles the spine and back is one of the most common treated areas on the body.  Our therapists will work with you one on one to create an individualized spinal rehabilitation program to help you achieve both your short and long term goals as well prevent further injury in the future.

Functional Capacity Evaluation (FCE) - This is an objective performance-based evaluation that will help identify a worker's safe abilities and limitations following an injury.  An FCE will determine musculoskeletal weakness and functional deficits.  THe evaluation can compare a clietn's demonstrated physical abilites to the critical physical demands of a specific job or can be a genral synopsis of the client's current ability to safely return to work.  This sort of evaluation typically lasts 4 to 6 hours over the course of 1 to 2 days.

PreWork Screens - A post offer, pre-employment exam created to recognize an employee's ability to perform certain physical tasks and demands of their job.  Every exam is differnet as each employer requires different skills of their employees.  Most screenings take no more than 30 minutes and consist of activities such as lifiting, pulling, pushing, and climbing.
