Meet The Team

Phillip Drussel, PT was born and raised in the Tri-Cities, graduation from Hanford High School in 1978.  Phil earned his Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from University of Montana in 1986.  He worked in Billings, Montana at the Eastern Montana College for two years as their Sports Physical Therapist/Trainer.

In 1989, he became Director of Physical Therapy at Kennewick General Hospital where he worked until opening his private practice, Summit Physical Therapy, in June of 1991.  He specializes in orthopedic and sports rehabilitation.  He has been the physical therapist for the Tri-Cities Americans for 25 years and also the Tri-Cities Fever when they joined the NFIL in 2005.  He assists their trainer in setting up their program and training needs.  He also enjoys working with our local high school, college, and professional athletes covering football, basketball, volleyball, soccer and gymnastics. 

In his off time, you can find Phil hunting, horseback riding and spending time with his kids

Heather graduated from Marymount University with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2014. She previously attended Eastern Washington University earning her Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science in 2010. She also attended Columbia Basin College where she played two years for the Hawk Volleyball program from 2006-2008 while earning her A.A. Degree in general studies. 

Heather enjoys working with people of all ages and works to empower her patients to independent living and management of their ailments. Special interests include:  TMJ dysfunction, SI joint management, and return to sport rehabilitation. 

Heather Miller, DPT

Michelle has been with Summit Physical Therapy since 2014 as our Physical Therapy Tech.  She graduated from the University of Idaho in 2012 with her Bachelors of Science in Exercise Science and Health with special focus in Athletic Training.  She hopes to continue her education and receive her degree as a Physical Therapy Assistant.

When she is not running around the office, you can find her spending time with her husband and family, or going to any concert she can find.

Heather Sams has been in the health care industry since 2004.  Before becoming Office Manager for Summit Physical Therapy in 2016 she maintained an ample career with Kennewick General Hospital in medical billing and coding as well as patient access.  She enjoys working with her caring and compassionate staff as they are each an important part in each step of the patient's recovery and therapy.
